Background:
|
Ambitious Instruction: Accelerating Learning was implemented at the start of the 21-22 school year. The plan is focused on three levers. The levers are Formative Practices, Explicit Instruction, and Engagement. Ambitious Instruction: Accelerating Learning embodies the district’s Five Priorities for Success, focusing on increasing academic achievement and accountability, developing our staff, and strengthening communication and collaboration. This year, we have aligned the Ambitious Instruction Plan with the Strategic Plan, focusing on increasing student achievement. Each professional learning cycle will concentrate on three identified areas of focus in the Strategic Plan: rigor, students feeling physically and emotionally safe, and inclusivity. Progress throughout the year will be monitored after each professional learning cycle so that we can track growth in teaching practices and student outcomes. To track the progress of Ambitious Instruction: Accelerating Learning, a non-evaluative Walk-Through Rubric was designed to gather feedback on how to better support teachers and leaders in understanding and implementing teacher learning of best practices. |
