Background:
|
As required by state law, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors (MBSD) has engaged in negotiations with its certified collective bargaining units on the subject of base wages. Negotiations have been completed between the MBSD and the following bargaining units: PAMPS (Psychologists’ Association in the Milwaukee Public Schools) MTEA –Bookkeepers/Accountants (Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association) MTEA –Educational Assistants (Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association) MTEA –Teachers (Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association) The agreement has a term of one year (July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022) and provides for a base-wage increase for the unit of 1.23%. The 1.23% base-wage increase was implemented July 1, 2021.

The funding for these wage increases was approved by the Board in the FY22 budget.

Recommendation:
