Background: In regard to item 2 of the Report of the Committee on Accountability, Finance, and Personnel, the Board may retire to executive session under the provisions of Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 19.85(1)(c), which allows a governing body to go into closed session for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance-evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility; and

Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(f), which allows a governmental body to retire to closed session in order to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons...which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations

The Board may reconvene in open session to take action on matters considered in executive session and/or to continue with the remainder of its agenda.
