Background:
|
The purpose of this report will be to provide an update on family and community engagement activities. The Department of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Service works with families and the community to provide opportunities for them to support our students in reaching successful outcomes both in and out of the classroom. The Customer Service and Family Engagement team interact with families daily to ensure parents have avenues to be active participants in their child’s education. They also help families form a healthy bond with their child’s school community.
MPS recognizes the value in our most important allies, our alumni. We are working to build our alumni network and identify alums who make a difference in our community. Lastly, MPS volunteers play a vital role in helping our schools and allowing community members to provide support to Milwaukee Public Schools students.
