Background:
|
On March 28, 2019, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors approved the instrumentality charter school contract with Green Tree Preparatory Academy (GPA) to begin with the 2019-2020 school year and to end with the last regularly scheduled day of the 2023-2024 school year. GPA’s mission is to build a body of student leaders who will lead or own tomorrow’s businesses.
Administration received a request from GPA to make an amendment to the contract. The requested amendment is being submitted as a technical revision and clarification to ensure compliance with the Charter School Grant offered through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The proposed amendment to the contract is contained in the redline contract attached to this item.

Upon the Board’s approval, the amended instrumentality charter school contract with Green Tree Preparatory Academy will be forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Your Committee recommends that the Board approve the technical amendment to the instrumentality charter school contract with Green Tree Preparatory Academy, Inc. for Green Tree Preparatory Academy as indicated in the attachment to this item.
