Background: Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(c), the Board may convene in executive session for the purpose of “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility,” the Board may convene in closed session for the purpose stated above.

If the Board determines that it will take action on matters discussed in the closed session, it will do so in open session. Otherwise, the Board may return to open session to proceed with its agenda or the Board may adjourn from the closed session.
