Background:
|
At the April 20, 2023 Board Meeting, Resolution 2223R-018 by Directors Peterson and Herndon on the creation of a D/HH Task Force for major review of MPS's D/HH program was approved. It was further recommended that the Administration provide regular reports to the board during meetings of the Committee on Student Achievement and School Innovation (SASI), beginning on June 8, 2023. The first meeting to assemble and comprise the task force was publicly noticed and held on May 30, 2023. During the meeting, which was jointly organized by the Administration and the Office of Board Governance, an overview of Resolution 2223-018R was provided and those present were solicited for participation on the task force. Additionally, task force members voted on a chair and co-chair of the committee.
