Background:
|
Wisconsin Statutes, §19.85(1)(c), provides that a governmental body may convene in executive session for the purpose of “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.” The Board may retire to a closed session for this purpose. If it does so, the Board may reconvene in open session to take action on matters discussed in executive session or to consider the remainder of its agenda; otherwise, the Board may adjourn from executive session.
