Background:
|
This item requests authorization for the Administration to enter into an initial three-year lease agreement for one dollar per year with Highland Community School to lease the MacDowell Montessori School building, located at 1706 West Highland Ave. The lease term is commensurate with the charter contract term. The agreement further anticipates the potential sale of the building located at 1706 West Highland Ave. to Highland Community School at a price to be determined in the course of the three year term, or the potential to extend the lease contract for up to fifteen years.

Upon approval by the Board, the attached lease will be executed.

Recommendation:
|
Your Committee recommends that the Board authorize the Administration to enter into a three-year lease agreement with Highland Community School, as attached, for the use of MacDowell Montessori School as an MPS Charter Montessori school and childcare facility.
