Background:
|
M³ (pronounced "m-cubed") is a collaborative partnership among the three largest public education institutions in Milwaukee: Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM). M³ seeks to transform the future of Milwaukee through education. The M³ College Connections program is a dual enrollment program for MPS high school students. Students in this program attend classes at both the MATC and UWM campuses to earn high school and college credits. This presentation includes a brief overview of the M³ College Connections program, a review the evaluation of the program's impact on postsecondary enrollment, dating back to the 2018-2019 school year, and comparisons to other advanced programs. Additionally, limitations of the evaluation and additional evaluation questions will be discussed. |
