Background:
The Administration received approval for River Trail Elementary School to be a specialty school, focused on Agricultural Sciences, on August 11, 2022. This initiative allows River Trail students to learn more about agricultural science; training them to become tomorrow’s scientists, nutritionists, entrepreneurs, teachers, and employers in the fields of Food Production, Business, and Marketing. With a combination of classroom instruction and applied agriculture experiences outside of the classroom, this initiative will build the foundation for future educated consumers and agriculturists.

We will highlight, to date, new developments that support the gained partnerships, committed staff, families, and the alignment toward improved student achievement. The “Grow Green” expansion update will be focused on River Trail’s continuation to improve and expand the school’s five “A’s” for success: Academics, Arts, Athletics, Attendance, and Agriculture. This update will also include the marketing, branding, transportation and new FTE agriculture teacher.
