Background:
|
Milwaukee Public Schools provides tools to support family engagement that helps to foster healthy school, family, and student relationships to promote student success. Parent coordinators play a critical role in providing families with the knowledge they need to make informed educational decisions and effectively engage with their children’s schools. MPS family engagement efforts focus on providing training and support to staff to create a school culture that honors and respects that families provide the foundation for the learning process. The Family and Community Engagement team has developed an integrated approach to support these efforts across the district and ensure events and activities align with the family engagement framework. In addition, our community partners are vital in helping to enhance the learning environment for our students and schools.
