Background:
|
On May 24, 2024, the District received a communication from the Department of Public Instruction. This communication set forth the need for the District to submit a corrective action plan that must specify how MPS plans to complete and submit all past due financial reports and how MPS will meet all future financial report deadlines, including any changes an improvements to staffing, internal controls, and fiscal policies and procedures.
Subsequent to the publication of this meeting's agenda, the district received received notification from DPI of an updated corrective action plan. The updated Corrective Action Plan is attached for the Board's consideration.

Implementation and Assessment Plan

Upon approval by the Board, and upon approval by DPI, the District will begin the process of implementing the corrective action plan.

Recommendation:
|
The Office of Accountability and Efficiency recommends that the Board
approve the Updated Draft Corrective Action Plan from DPI, as attached to this item.
