Background: Recommended for the Board's approval at this meeting are the following exception-to-bid contracts:

Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin Educational Foundation, Inc. for pedestrian and bicycle safety programming, $420,000.00,

Chenhalls Nissen, S.C. to provide legal services in processing H-1B paperwork for recruitment of international teachers, $500,000.00;

Employ Milwaukee, Inc., for Camp Rise youth early intervention summer program, $100,000.00;

Mad Science of Milwaukee Inc for science programming, $250,000.00;

Marquette University to provide in-school intervention and leadership for students, $191,850.00;

Sonova USA Inc for sound field systems and related equipment, $56,662.00;

Troy Albright d/b/a Turfix LLC for the maintenance and repair of the synthetic turf athletic fields in Milwaukee Public Schools, $126,600.00;

Urban Learning Collaborative for services to support MPS employees with FoRT, Praxis, and portfolio license requirements, $50,000.00;

Various vendors for virtual library services subscriptions, $188,109.20.
Fiscal Impact Statement: This item authorizes expenditures as indicated in the attachments.
Implementation and Assessment Plan Upon approval by the Board, the contracts will begin as indicated in the attachments.
Recommendation: The Administration recommends that the Board authorize the exception-to-bid contracts as set forth in the attachments to this item.
